Enjoy a full day of immersive, hands-on learning designed for passionate gardeners who want to confidently propagate plants in autumn. Led by Jimi Blake, this practical masterclass covers the full range of autumn propagation techniques, giving you the skills and confidence to grow and multiply plants successfully at home.
This workshop is highly practical and focuses on doing, with clear guidance at every stage of the propagation process.
What the Day Will Cover
Collecting, storing and treating seed
Methods of sowing, germination and autumn aftercare
Taking and growing autumn cuttings, including root cuttings
Dividing perennials in autumn
Propagation composts and mixes, and choosing the right compost for aftercare
Using propagators effectively for successful propagation
What’s Included
A wide selection of seeds, cuttings and divisions to take home and grow on in your own garden
All materials and supplies required for the day
Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake
Participants are also welcome to bring their own seeds or plants to learn how to propagate them.
