Flowering Shrubs lecture with John Grimshaw

Shrubs have been badly neglected as garden plants for decades, and it’s time they were rehabilitated and valued for their enormous contribution to the garden through the year. The talk will cover the seasons from winter to autumn and will introduce a very wide range of species, especially considering those that give more than one season of interest.

Evergreen trees and shrubs lecture with John Grimshaw

Evergreens are valuable for their effect through the year, but especially in winter when they add richness and structure to the garden and wider landscape. The talk will mostly be about broadleaved species, though a few conifers will also appear to illustrate the full range of evergreen diversity
